me, Jeri and a broken shoulder....

Jericoacoara, I really like this Spot in Brasil..... it was windy every day, I learned many new Moves and had a lot of fun there.... But now our Story unluckily is over..... I broke my shoulder a few days ago and have to leave for my Home El Yaque today..... I hope all is getting well there and i can be back on the water asap after the rehab........

it is my first time in Jericoacoara, brasil... it is a totally different experience. I really like this place, it is windy every single day, everything is close, the people are super nice and kind, each afternoon chico vento and his friends do their capoeira shows at the beach and already after a few days here i got some new manouvres for the 2009 PWA Tour....

since my last competition at Sylt I am at the Italian Island of Sardegna and it is really nice and perfect for all kinds of windsurfing. together with my fanatic and north teampartners andre paskowski and filippo buratti we are here for foto and video shoots and soon we leave to brasil for the next one....

I´m still celebrating my second worldtitle.. though i´m on my way to sardinia for a fotoshoot before i leave to brazil.... my first time i go there and than i will be back at my home in el yaque for the winter..

Worldchampion 2008 !!!!!!!!!!!

YES !!!!! I got it again.... after loosing my title in the PWA Freestyle last year... i am so happy to get my title back after some good competitions in austria, lanzarote, fuerteventura and sylt ... thank you all for your support !!!!!

What a day at Sylt.... I love it....

Today we started the Competition, the last Freestyle Competition of 2008 and my chance to get my 2006 Worldtitle back.... The conditions were really tough... a massive Shorebreak and low winds... I was sailing my new 5,4 and the 100litre Board.... sometimes it became really hard to go out... if you don´t go one heat earlier, you might not have a chance to be on time in your Heat... that´s Sylt !! :-)
with the competition the wind got stronger and stronger (so did the rain ) and in the first 3 minutes of my final against antxon otaegui i was pretty powered up on my 5,0 before within five seconds the wind died completely to zero and we were not able to do anything in the remaining 2 minutes.... but anyway i´m stoked with my 2 place which would mean the on sunday i´ll get my crown back ... yeaaah !!!!!!!!#

Freestyle Day at Sylt...

The wind arrived yesterday... great conditions and today we could start with our last freestyle of this year... finally we can go back on the water... and the forecast for the weekend and wave also looks really good... i will tell you more at the end of the day....

Lots of Fun at Lake Garda....

Now I´m back on my way to Venezuela, but the past weekend we had a lot of fun at the ION Man at Lake GArda, where we as Fanatic Team ( Filippo Buratti, Craig Gertenbach, Fred Niedner and me) made the second place.... i really liked to be part of it again....

aahh, i hurt my foot two days ago and it still really hurts and today is the inscription for the fuerteventura freestyle... i really hope that i get better and can sail tomorrow.... i don´t want to loose like last year here at fuerte and i felt really good... i will do my best to get good performance tomorrow... but now it´s in physio´s hands....

Lanzarote and Pozo

Finally it is windy in Pozo again. After the Lanzarote Freestyle Worldcup, which I could win again, I went to my first Wave Worldcup in Pozo... Finally I got the entry for this Event, though it will be a new experience, but i will do my best also here in the waves. unluckily there was no wind in the last days but yesterday finally we went all out with 4,0 but small waves. today is more training and than tomorrow we will start to compete...... I´ve justwatched another Video about the Lanzarote Worldcup... see this :

It´s done... i was really nervous about the Competition, all Sailors are really good and hard to beat, but I could win again and I hope at Fuerteventura I can do the same !!! Now I am already in Pozo... I got my first entry for a Wave Worldcup... I hope I can do good there too.... and than we go to Fuerteventura for more Freestyle !!!

windy egipt and even windier home...

After the first PWA Worldcup I went to egipt for some filming and Fotoshoots... It was my first time there and we had a lot of wind, first in soma bay and than dahab... i liked it... only during my travels i destroyed my laptop.... and have a lot of work now recovering all my dates.... now i am back for some days at home in el yaque and we have a lot of wind here too.... in some days you will see the new video with andre paskowski and me in the internet.... just check andre´s youtube place youtube.com/andrepaskowski

Just few days after the first PWA Worldcup of 2008 I´m on my way to egypt for a Fanatic and North Fotoshoot... but I´m still superhappy that I could win a really difficult Contest, even more because I had to sail my 5,9 which I haven´t used in the whole winter..... After Egypt I will travel a little bit more... and go to Lanzarota for the next Stopp of the PWA Tour.... I will keep you updated.....

Wow, finally we had our wind, which almost nobody really expected and I am really happy that I could win against super good sailing Taty and Tonky and Brawzinho in the Final !!!!! Yes, what a start in the 2008 Tour.... I hope the next Event in Lanzarote will be even better and i will do my best to do the same result !!!!!

PWA Austria....

Some days in Austria, some light wind sessions but still we don´t have not good enough wind for competition... the wind just comes and goes and will not stay... so we take our time at the nice event site in podersdorf and have a good time together... but i hope the wind will come for a nice end of the Competition and a first result in 2008.....

I won a little different this time.....

Wow, some hours before i had to get on my plane to the PWA Contest in Austria.... I won the Slalom Race and Amateurs in "KITESURFING" in El yaque..... but no worries.... I will not stopp windsurfing for sure..... this year it was my second time on a kite...... and i´m only focused on windsurfing...... but since my windsurf gear was already in austria..... i had some fun by winning a Kite Competition !!!!

I could win the national slalom Contest....

Finally I was able to win a Slalom Competition against the best venezuelan Racers at the last national Competition in Puerto la Cruz at the Venezuelan Mainland... last weekend... I could win the first four out of 6 Races and finished the last two Races in second Place !!!!! But now I´m back to Freestyle and soon off to Austria for the first PWa Worldcup !!!! maybe see you there ....

Our Event is over and i could keep my first place in freestyle and get second in Slalom... faster than Andre Paskowski :-) sorry for you !! I hope we can do a same event next year again.... !!!! but i am sure there will be one....

I WON !!!

Hehe, I won the Single Elimination of the 1st National Open Championchips in El Yaque... I could win against Andre Paskowski in the Semifinal and than Cheo Diaz in the Final.... Hopefully today is also windy for Slalom and more Freestyle.. it is the last day....

1st National Open Windsurf El Yaque...

Tomorrow is the start of the 1st National Open in Windsurf... Of course I want to win the Freestyle but I also want to repeat my good result from last weekend in Araya in Slalom, where I became second in the national Championchip Tour !! I will tell you in the next days what is happening here in El Yaque.....

After three windless days with hard rain, fianlly it is windy again... good enough for my 5,0 and the skate 97.. i love this board...... i hope the wind will stay, now that more and more of my friends, like andre paskowski, arrive.... so we can have more fun on the water.. :-)

My Toys...

First I want to wish you all a happy new year 2008 !!!!! I guess like most of you I hope it will be a really windy one !!! I got my Toys already for this Season and I´m just happy with them.... I´m sailing mostly with my Skate 97 and really like it..... At the moment it´s no wind here in Yaque but it should be back soon.... So long we just enjoy being here, back home at my Place....
